1. Address
Having the correct address on the envelope is important. Before sending your envelope, please make sure that you have this address:
Nexopia.com
P.O. Box #47177
62 Edmonton City Center RPO
Edmonton, AB, Canada T5J 4N1
2. Return Address
Please include your return address in the top left hand corner. This should include your name, address, city, province/state, and postal/zip code. This is important because if there is an error within Canada Post or in our office, there must be a way to contact you or return your envelope.
3. Postage
It is important that you provide the correct postage for the envelope, which is determined by envelope size and weight. If you are sending a single invoice with a cheque, money order, or paper money (no coins), a single standard ‘P’ stamp will suffice. (P stands for permanent.) If you are sending multiple invoices or an oversized envelope, you might need additional postage. Postage belongs on the top right corner.
4. The Envelope Itself
Before sending out your invoice and money, please make sure that the envelope is suitable for sending through the mail. Things to look out for are as follows: Is the envelope completely sealed? Is the envelope thick enough that it cannot be ripped or damaged in the mail? Is money visible in the envelope? If it is, please make sure to fold the money in the invoice or fold it in a piece of paper. This ensures that your envelope doesn’t become a target for theft.
Please note: if we receive a damaged envelope with money missing we will deduct that from your PLUS purchase. Also, envelopes we receive with insufficient postage will have the amount we are charged for postage and fees deducted from your PLUS purchase.
Step 2: The Invoice
1. Print the Invoice
Click PLUS on the menu and then click Mail.
Once you have created an invoice by entering the username(s) and dollar amount(s) each user should receive, it is important that you print out the invoice and include it with the payment in the envelope. The invoice will look like the image above.
2. Copy Invoice Details
If you do not have a printer handy to print off the invoice, you will need to write the details on a piece of paper. Make sure to include the invoice ID, your username (including all special characters!), recipient username(s) and dollar amount(s) for each user you are buying PLUS for. Not including this information may result in recipient(s) not receiving PLUS.
Step 3: Payment
1. Details
Regardless of your payment method, tender should not be visible through the envelope, to help prevent theft of your envelope. If a cheque, money order, or cash is visible through the envelope, you increase the chance of your envelope not reaching its destination. We highly suggest you wrap the payment inside the invoice.
2. Cheques and Money Orders
Cheques and money orders should be made out to "Nexopia.com, Inc.", and should have the invoice ID written in the "memo" section. All necessary information such as signature and amount must be filled out properly. On the back or the cheque or money order, write: For Deposit Only. That way it cannot be cashed by another person if stolen.
3. Cash (Paper Money only)
We accept cash as payment, though we highly recommend against doing so. Cash is the most likely form of payment that may result in theft of your envelope. It can be pocketed by anybody without trace, unlike cheques and money orders which must be deposited into a bank account. Coins especially make the envelope stand out as a package that contains something valuable. If you MUST send cash, follow these guidelines:
Paper bills ($5, $10, $20, etc) should be wrapped in the invoice to hide it from prying eyes. You should not include coins. When paying with paper cash we will pay the GST portion for you.
If you insist to mail coins they should be taped to the invoice, as loose change regularly tears the envelope and falls out during transport. Remember, if the money does not arrive we cannot give you PLUS. If you mail coins you have to pay total amount including the GST. Coins will also require additional postage. Envelopes are charged by weight - if you include coins, a single regular stamp will not suffice. Take your completed envelope to your local post office to determine the required postage. Better yet: take your coins to the post office or a store; they will exchange it for paper money.
Step 4: What to Expect
1. Waiting Time
Please be patient! While the majority of mail sent from within Canada will reach us within 2-8 business days, we have seen envelopes take 9-12 business days to be delivered. Business days means weekends are not included.
2. Questions or Concerns?
Any questions or concerns you may have should be directed to user NexopiaPlus.
